A Memory of Wargrave.

I spent an idyllic childhood in Wargrave from 1944 until 1955/6. It was wonderful. We moved on to Twyford when I was 11 as our house was torn down and replaced by the fish shop. I wonder if the Chapel which was behind these houses is still standing. have not found a photograph of these three small houses. I remember taking the ferry across the river to go swimming. and many walks around the village. Climbing the trees in Mill Green and wandering along Roman Walk. I believe my grandparents lived in Ivyhurst prior to that in Victoria Road.
