This extensive building on the corner of Godstone Road and Station Road was demolished in 1966 and the site is now a car park for local shoppers and commuters. The tabernacle was built in 1892 by John Newberry, who died in 1928 leaving the property to the Salvation Army who relinquished it in 1960.
