Unhappy Memories

A Memory of Wigton.

I went to Brookfield in the early 70,s as a boarder One punishment was to not be allowed to change out one,s uniform for a week. The food was ghastly, but one was hungry. Every Sunday we had to go outside for hours whatever the weather. I was severely bullied by two girls in my dorm. Nothing was done to stop it. One day the music master held me and kissed me, using his tongue. I still remember the stink of cigarettes and his repulsive grey bristles bearing down on me. Nothing was done. I felt unheard and traumatised and eventually refused to return. The standard of teaching was very poor. I have nothing good to say.
