More about this scene
Construction work on Canford Bridge began in 1793 and was completed 20 years later. As well as its three main arches, the bridge also has six smaller flood arches across the fields on the south bank. A boatyard adjoined the bridge from Victorian times until the 1970s, and leisure boating has since been revived through the Dreamboats millennium project.
