A Memory of Ynysybwl.

Highlight of visiting grandparens every summer was the frequent visit to Cresci's Cafe to buy a quarter of sweets in paper cones and a cornet of the best icecream every made!! Usually served by Mary Cresci but I can still remember Mother Cresci as well, also Tommy, who was a contemporary of my mother, Beth Jones, Twyncelyn.

What a shame it closed down - it was Ynysybwl to me.

Same story all over the valleys. They held the community together - with the pit.
