Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Sheringham fishermen gather round a lobster boat for the camera. They ventured out in open boats in all weathers. Fishing was a rough and dangerous way to earn a living.
The boat we saw in photograph M32031R (No 33) is now seen climbing the 5 locks at Tyrley.
There is not a breath of wind, so the drainage mill is motionless and the sailing boats are becalmed on the Ant, which is little more than a narrow stream at this point.
Fishing was a vital local industry in this remote north-eastern port, and in 1914 there were still more than 200 boats registered here.

Old Archway to the Boat Steps
The building to the right has been smartened up since 1955, and now advertises itself as Foxton Boat Services, providing boat trips and hire. Today it has doubled in size.
The baths were situated just to the north of the Boat House, where Gayton Sands Nature Reserve car park now stands. The Boat House is now an inn and restaurant.
In the 1920s, Tom Richmond's West End Boating Stage offered rowing, Canadian-style skiffs and punts. A motor boat plied between here and Collingham Bridge.

The boat lying on the beach in the fore ground, in Hugh Town harbour, is vaguely reminiscent of an ex-ships' lifeboat, and shows the rugged clinker-built construction of this type of craft.
This attractive boat house is set at the foot of a steep cliff alongside the River Taf with its 'heron-priested' shore. The poet Dylan Thomas lived here for the last four years of his life.
