I Too Lived In Seacombe And Used To Go Down To The Allotments That Where Down By The Farm

A Memory of Wallasey.

I went to Riverside School and played out in the sunny weather in the summer we had back then. This post I have just found fiddling around on my iPad. What a joy it is to see the old places The Derby Pool, Harrison Drive, Central Park and the Wallasey show and circus that was there in July. I married in 1961 and left Seacombe for Moreton . After 5 years we went to live in Upton by Chester with our 1 year old daughter. We went to live in Elton when she was 5 along with our 2'years old son. Sadly my husband, Dave, died 1998 and I stayed till 2010. After a good spell in hospital my daughter arranged for me to go and live with the family. If anyone reading this notices and knows JOAN WILSON nee ROBERTS please can you tell her Joan Procter. Nee USHER wrote this post. Her and I used to go dancing on a Tuesday to the Grovenor in Liscard also the Tower. I lived in Parry Street and Joan lived in Palermo street ( I think it was or Palatine I can't remember which is which ). My excuse is well I'm 77 now and can't remember everything Ha Ha !

I went to the Wallasey Tech School 1951 to 1956. Then I worked in Liverpool at a shipping agents W H Nott & co, till I left to have my daughter in 1966. I now live in Helsby The Paddock. Typing this post I keep remembering all sorts of thing. One memory is having a BANANA for the first time 1946 from Coxs the fruit shop in St Pauls Road near The Gandy Belt I was very happy living in Seacome but I must ask Where Have All The Years Gone ? Memories are the photographs of life so enjoy life go places, meet people have fun ! Cheers !
