More about this scene
This elegant Elizabethan mansion was originally built for the Secretary of the Council of the North in 1568. The hall changed hands many times over the following centuries before being almost rebuilt in the mid 19th century. The university became established here in 1963; it now has a total of more than 3,000 students.
