More about this scene
This building was designed by Sir Jeffrey Wyatville and built in 1802-6; only its name recalls Henry VIII's now vanished palace. It was sold in 1937 to London and Surrey County Councils, following the death of the last member of the Farmer family, who had lived there for many years.
An extract from Surrey.
