Kingston Upon Thames, The Coronation Stone c.1955

More about this scene
The Coronation Stone was placed upon a stone plinth set within decorative railings right in the heart of Kingston outside the Kingston municipal offices in 1850, but as traffic increased in the 20th century it was moved back from the roadway in 1935. The stone is now sited as we see it here, alongside the Clattern Bridge over the Hogsmill River outside the Guildhall.
