If this is the same house now known as Meadow Cottage in Little Comberton,, then I lived there as a very small child (about 2-3 years old) for a short time in 1955 or 1956. My father was in the RAF, stationed at Defford and he rented the Cottage for a short time before we moved on. Is anyone alive from that time?
My mother who is 93 this year and very much alive and kicking is descended from the Cropthorne Dingleys. She spent much of her early childhood and teenage years before ww2 with her family in Cropthorne. She has such vivid memories of the area and even remembers many names of the local people. If anyone knows how her anecdotal history might somehow be archived, please do let me know.
My grandmother lived in Little Comberton, I used to visit her when we lived in Clevedon. When I was 11 in 1967 I spent 6 months with my Ggrandmother before my parents, my brother and myself emigrated to Australia.
