The building on the left was a non-conformist chapel and bears the date 1668, whilst hidden at the end is the Calf's Head.
Sunbury-on-Thames was only incorporated into Surrey in the administrative changes which took place in 1965, but the village dates back to Anglo-Saxon times.
The white building at the end of this row is Ann Cottage, which bears the date 1580.
The building dates from c1480, and originally comprised a central hall and the jettied wing to the left.
In his 'Bradford on Avon Past and Present', Harold Fassnidge describes the carillon, dating from 1614, as having been augmented over the years; it now has a repertoire of hymns played regularly.
This magnificent church, now mainly Perpendicular, dates back to Norman times – the evidence for this can be seen in wall friezes and arcading in the chancel.
Little is known about this church, including the date of its erection. However, the earliest reference to the building is in a document in the time of Henry I, who reigned from 1100 to 1135.

The first school in Redditch was built in 1820 on land donated by a local landowner, the Earl of Plymouth, at the junction of Unicorn Hill and Bates Hill.

The King's Bath, seen here, dates from 1597, but little survives of the original.

The building beyond, 2-4 High Street, is dated 1739, and was at that time a milk bar.
The pulpit, with its sounding-board and slender oak stem (centre right), dates from the 1680s.
It is mostly a residential street, illuminated by gas lamps at this date; but there is a group of shops on the right.
As the High Street runs down toward the medieval town wall gate and through to the harbour, the influence of Robert Wynn's Plas Mawr can be seen in the transomed stone mullions of the Castle
For long described as 'the oldest house in Wales', and dating from the 1300s, this medieval merchant's house has attracted visitors since the early years of the last century.
It dates from the 16th century. Once a coaching-inn, it lost out when the London- Newmarket road was re-routed in the 1850s.
