Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

View 49180 looks west from the junction with Langley Park Road along Christchurch Park, with the well-known copper beech trees newly planted in the verges. This view, however, looks northwards from fields. These have long since been built over, and were situated where Devonshire Avenue is now. All these houses have now gone, to be replaced by blocks of flats.

A Blissful Childhood
We moved to Sutton in 1956/7, Sutton Court Road, and I attended Sutton East before moving to Worcester Road and then going to Ambleside School in Cheam, then onto the Willows before completing my A-levels at Nonsuch High School for Girls in Cheam. I loved growing up in Sutton, in the summer evenings I would cycle round for hours, (having taken my Proficiency Test) despite having cycled to and from school daily. ...see more

Well, Well, Well
I didn't know this site existed. I am delighted that it does. I was at this school until it closed when I moved to Wallington Independent High School. I was one of the naughty boys, but turned out all right in the end and had a great working life. Now retired I have an action packed time with masses of fun. I have had a few medical hic ups along the way and have used up more than my 9 lives. Mr Stone was my Latin ...see more

Throwley Way Baths
If this is Throwley Way parallel to Sutton Hugh Street, then the now defunct Sutton High School for Boys used these erstwhile Baths for swimming lessons and competitions, right up to the school's controversial closure in 1962.

Regent Cafe & Ice Cream Parlour
I was a projectionist at the "CURZON" cinema in Cheam Road form 1962 - 1986 and would always go to the Regent for lunch..Was always a good meal and you could get 3 courses for around 2/6d.. Served by two lovely waitresses Eve & Day..who incidentally came to my 21st Birthday party! Toni was aided by his wife,son and daughter He always looked miserable, but in fact was a very jolly and happy person ...see more

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
