Two octogenarian parents are normally very difficult to buy for at Christmas, but they are highly appreciative of the quality of the picturs and find the subject matter evocative of their childhood days. I have just viewed many beautiful online pictures of old Rochdale. My memories only go back to the 1960's when I started work there but my mother shared her memories of days back to the 1920's or so. What a town to be proud of in the old days and what proud people Rochdalians were. I wish the same could be said of the town nowadays. So sad what has happened.
