Annie amos married Alfred Townley who was killed in a bus accident 1915. Then married William J Winn Dec 1915, had two sons 1918 Gordon, 1919 William, both infant deaths. Can find no trace of him after 1920. Married Will evans 28 Sep 1924 they are in my living memory. Where did you get the name Bateson. I am Descended from Elizabeth Amos, Annie's elder half sister. Visited Caerau many times as a child with my mother Mary John. yours Bill Barton
Caerau...Nantyfyllon My Grandmother Annie Amos/ Townley married William Winn Bateson and we are trying to trace his family for the family tree....do you have any knowledge of him?
When they married he was living in Station Road, Nantyfyllon and moved to Caerau.
My Grandmother eventually married Will Evans and they are buried in Maesteg.
Anyone recall a family called the pyes? My dad Terry SHEARAN who sadly passed away 4 years from alzheimers. Often spoke of them.. With their really short hair but with tufts at the front.. My grandad wa s willy.. My dad had 5 brothers and lived caerau Rd..y other grandad was Tommy mac.. Hope some one remembers.. I think my grandad Tommy lived with Annie halfyard..
Does anyone know of the family of Mary Walters, died late 1930s. Her children were:
John Walters, Christmas Walters, Gwenllian (Gwendoline) Walters and Charlie Walters.
Gwenllian was my grand-mother and she lived with my mother, Ivy in Dunraven Place (The Monkey),
Mary also had 2 children from her second marriage to Francis Augustus; these were Augustus and Elwa.
My Grandad Jones purchased 141 Caerau Rd from 2 ladies following WWII - it cost him a grand total of 450pounds. The ladies stayed on and rented a back room for a while before Grandad had his father Oliver, his father's mistress Martha and his brother Glyndwr move in.

My grandma, grandpa lived in Caerau, I'm looking for information, memories of them. Trevor Lavercombe was my grandpa, I don't know my grandma's . I'm not too sure on my grandpa's first name. The Lavercombe family lived in John Street, Nanty, Can anyone help me please, I'm trying to find information, They then moved up to Caerau, top road, where the flats are now... I was born in Glanafon Terrace, in Nanty. Number twenty, The Jones family lived there, my aunt and uncle.

I knew Iris and her sister, Kathleen...I am not sure if their surname was Philips. Iris would have been about 10 years old in 1950's, Kathleen was older, they had brothers who were working. I lived with my gran in Bryn Terrace and I would walk down the steps and they lived on a terrace off to the right. I lost touch when I returned to London.
My nan - Francis Bowen moved to Blaencaerau from the Rhondda at the age of 7. Married Idris Bowen (my grandad) who worked in Caerau Colliery and then Midcast. Living in Blaencaerau didn't change in many years as I shared a lot of the same outdoor activities as my nan, and my mother after her. Hi, just wondering if anyone remembers my dad Freddy Pye? he was born in Albert Street in 1946. my grandparents John and Doreen and my great grandparents Laura and Syl Pye also lived in Albert St. Dad has great memories of his childhood in Caerau. It would be great to be able to tell him that someone on here remembers him. We moved to Northamptonshire in 1972 but Wales will always be home.
