A Memory of Normanton.

I've lived in Tyldesley, Lancs all my life, but I remember working in Normanton in 1967. We used to travel all over the country, erecting sectional buildings. When in Normanton we built an extension on to the clubhouse of a local dog track [does anyone remember it?].

Yes, was just outside Whitwood on the Altofts rd. Was in fact called Whitwood Greyhound Stadium.

Hi, in response to your question about a dog track in Normanton there was a dog track at whitwood which lies between Normanton and Castleford. Alas it was demolished about 10 years or so ago.
