More about this scene

Trams are no longer an attraction in Peterborough, although world-wide there has been a revival, so who knows? But we will certainly never see street life like this again. Looking at Car No 3 arriving at the Long Causeway Terminus, we can see the entrance to Narrow Street directly ahead. Among the shops are Paten & Co, offering 'Spirits direct from Bond', and Cash & Co are on hand to sell the footwear. There is a lot more tiny detail here, depicting an age of much more manual effort.
