1963...

Was the year my family moved from Acton to Earldom Road, Putney, where we lived at number 10 (cost £5500 in 1963!). I have so many memories that I really don't know where to begin! A Memorable Junction

Whenever I look at old pictures of this junction, I think of a very modern-looking 1960s shop which had its address as its name: 'No. 1 Putney Hill'. Its (future) location is on the left of the picture ahead of the bus. I saw it every day when I got off the 37 to walk up Putney Hill to my school.
