Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

Since it was gradually absorbed to become a suburb of Royal Tunbridge Wells, this small village south of Tonbridge supported a number of businesses in its commercial centre. Apart from G P Mansell's valuation and estate agency operation seen in the centre of the picture, F Simmons's tailoring concern offered liveries for wealthy households with domestic staff, and cycle suits, reflecting the growing popularity of this pursuit at the turn of the century.

The Parade, Southborogh, was where my mother, Ivy, did most of her shopping. At that time you could buy pretty well everything you would need in the Parade. Trips into Tunbridge Wells were only taken if there was a need for something very special or the "sales" were on!!
