Turvey, The Three Cranes Hotel c.1950

More about this scene
Off a northward loop from the main road is the Three Cranes, again in the estate style with some leaded windows and some timber framing. Beyond is the stables and coach-house, stone fronted to the road with medieval-style buttresses and with brick side elevations. To the right, out of picture, is the drive to Turvey House; further right is the parish church, over-restored but with a superb 16th-century collection of Mordaunt family monuments.
