Pav's Tea Gardens, Westgate

A Memory of Westgate on Sea.

Pav's Tea Gardens in St Mildred's Bay was a place where I spent my youth, owned by Herbert Smith the famous film producer, the cafe was full of stills from the films he had worked on, there must have been over three hundred photos covering all the walls. Great music coming from the Rock-ola juke box.

Dear old Pavs cafe.
as you say it was full of famous photos ,we spent all our warm waether holidays there at St Crispens caravn site , as some of the caravans were privately owned we met up with what we called our holiday friends each year.
One of my summer friends got a summer job working in Pavs.
I hope you enjoyed Westgate as much as I did, Pavs is tstill there but nothing like it used to be,
