A Memory of Wingate.
In 1951 to 1959 I I lived at Colliers Arms wingate with my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Merricks (she had lived there a long time) and my mother Ivy Piper also sister Christine piper. My name is Marianne. I am interested in finding the history of colliers arms. I know it was a gravel pit in the 1800’s Owned by lord baron howden married to a Russian princess (I have the deeds). I’m interested in any information on my family and of colliers arms. I know I’m related to family surname of porter. I would love it if someone responded.
