More about this scene

Warlingham Green with a line of saplings is overlooked by Mr Ringer`s Warlingham & Chelsham Supply Stores. The turning for Glebe Road is by the double-fronted house in the centre, and the National Provincial Bank was later built on the opposite corner. On the opposite side of the road a workman is putting up a fence later to be painted with a sign for Warlingham Tea Gardens.

I have been a au pair girl in Warlingham 40 years ago. I never forget my time in the family. Good memories and a beautiful family. francoise

By far the best elastic for our catapaults (sprogs) was 1/4inch elastic, we had to convince the bloke that it was for model aircraft so that he would sell us a couple of feet. I just remembered also, that he used to sell a 'Penny Farthing Bike' made of fairly heavy duty stiff wire and a heavy ...see more
