More about this scene
Mary Tudor stayed at Battenhall as a child, when her father Henry VIII banished her from Court. When she became Queen she made Sir John Bourne of Battenhall her Secretary of State. Some years later, Sir Thomas Bromley of Battenhall was Lord Chancellor to Elizabeth I, who stayed at Battenhall on her 1575 visit to Worcester.
