More about this scene
Medieval Andover was established around a market which stands in the shadow of the 19th century church of St Mary, built in the Early English style by a former headmaster of Winchester College and described as the best Victorian church in Hampshire. However, an author said of the town in 1908 'little else than tradition remains of old Andover'.
