We are looking north towards the church. On the right, we can see the carriage entrance of the Red Lion next to Carter's the jeweller's; further on is Barclays Bank, which was re-fronted in 1822. The high gable on the left is Helions House surgery, now Woolworth's. The pushchair is outside Huggins's shop.
