Memories Of Redhill Lodge From 1955 61
A Memory of Burnt Oak.
l lived in Redhill Lodge which was next to Edgware General Hospital from 1955 to 1961, it was a large house for homeless families.l have happy memories of good times there even though we were poor but all families living there were in the same boat. You were never short of a friend.

I’ve always wondered what the place was before it was used for homeless families.
being happy and always having friends to
play with and have been told many stories by
my Mum and Dad and brothers and sisters, fond memories of hard times. Mum, Dad and
Shirley have passed away but the rest of us are in contact. I will let them know about this site, Edwina Laney/Reading
