Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

The scout hut, agricultural vehicle and long forgotten signboard are features of the left-hand side of High Road looking towards Elmore Pond. On the opposite side of the road the sturdy Shabden Cottages, built in 1871, make an attractive row of former estate workers` cottages. Beyond, a timber structure can be seen in the front garden of No 1. It was for many years the village post office.

Fairdene School
I was a pupil at Fairdene School from 1960-1965. I had lived in New York until I was 6, so being a girl with a Yankee accent in a school for young ladies was quite a challenge! The two female headmistresses, Miss Turner and Miss Delmege lived in a cottage at the end of the lane behind the main school building. Gatefield Cottages
My Grandma, Hilda Taylor, lived at No 1 along with her daughter, Vera, and son-in-law, Wally Atwood. Vera worked for many years at Butcher's, Newsagents. Rosemary Morris, Shrewsbury.

Word Perfect Wedding
I am writing this on our 39th wedding anniversary, which brings back happy memories of St Margaret's Church, where we married in 1975. We were so worried about the then vicar, who had a terrible stammer. In our meetings before the wedding, he could barely finish a sentence without stuttering. What would the service be like? Church Parade At St Margaret's Church In Hooley
During the period we lived in the Fruit Shop in Hooley (see Hooley pages) I belonged in the Girl Guides and my Sister Moira was in the Brownies. (Actually, when we moved into the Fruit Shop I was still a brownie, but sadly got stripped of my 'Sixer' status I'd had in North Harrow Brownies, as the Hooley Brownies' complement of Sixers was complete.) Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
