Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

This view looks west towards the Parish church. The pound lock replaced the hazardous flash locks in the middle of the weir in 1773. However this exacerbated the flooding of the churchyard and the medieval parish church partially collapsed. In 1832 it was replaced and here we see the knobbly spire of that date. It was later replaced by the present elegant one by John Oldrid Scott, who also designed the spire of St Luke's in Maidenhead.

Life At Harleford
Harleyford was my weekend home for some twenty years when the Foley Brothers turned the place into an exclusive caravan park, we had a small boat and would go shopping into Marlow or up to Henley. It was probably one of those idyllic places, the manor house was a small restaurant where I worked with the Desmonds and met all sorts of interesting people, the cooking was done by the chefs from RAF Medmenham. Childhood In Marlow Aged 6
A wealth of memories flood in: Saturday morning pictures followed by sausages from Clarkes, the Butchers made by "Uncle" Len Roblett with whom I and my brother were evacuated from London together with his wife "Aunt" Rosie and their sons Goosey & Dadle up Munday Dean. Childhood In Marlow
I grew up in Marlow during the 60s. I have wonderful memories of a really free childhood of bike rides, exploring the woods, rowing a very old boat on the river, even swimming which my mum never found out about , and just general messing about! We used to go to Marlow Common and play in the trenches, or trek through the woods to Marlow Bottom to make camps or down to the end of St Peter's Street to fish, on ...see more

Childhood Memories
My father was born in Marlow and mother had already made 2 very good friends before she met and married him.  As a result we as children (I was the eldest of 6) found it a wonderful haven to be welcomed at their home on countless occasions as we were growing up.  We lived in London, each journey was an adventure going to stay in the 'country'. Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
