I trainee from 1959 to1962, and loved every moment great days happy memories.my so surname was Pickett,and I married Michael Jones,who was a junior doctor,but sadly he died in 1978 . Would love to hear from any one who was at the hospital when I trained?

My great grandfather, Henry Waight bought this pub when he retired from the Royal Navy. He ran it until he died in 1927. Two of his sons, Sid and Frank helped out behind the bar. He also owned three shops opposite. I'd love to see any older photos of it.

I think my Grandfather was born on this street! He was called Wilfred Albert Parsk and fought in the Somme at about 16 years of age He never spoke much about the war but I know he lost a lot of his friends. He died in the 1980s but his memory is still cherished!
