This photograph was taken around lunchtime, and parked cars are beginning to congest the scene. A lorry (centre) is delivering Corona soft drinks to The Queen`s Head beyond the Market and Town Hall, while on this side of it is the hanging sign of The Sun Inn. The large Italianate-style Town Hall, with the Market Hall below, was built in 1844.
