Nightingale Farm

A Memory of Tonbridge.

My name then was Peter Pronger my two brothers used to work at Nightingale Farm it had a lot of pigs in those days, I remember Mr Podmore he was attacked by a Boar and was badly injured .Also Mr Young ( Bill Young ) My brothers were George and Roy Pronger they also lived at Honnington farm down Vauxhall lane It also belonged to Nightingale Farm I was only 12-13 years old those days but we had some good fun on the farm

i remember nightingale farm as i went with a ten shilling note and a peice of string to buy my self a puppy which was a smoothed hair terrier which spent most of the summers in the mid fiftys in woods between the bloodshots and the brickyard playing with me and my mates and i also remember the chestnut stallion prince in the field at the end of deakins leas which if i remember corretly belonged to larges farm at the bottom of the field a wonderful place to grow up,sixty yearsago happy happy days john whittle i live in st marys rd tonbridge
Is this John Whittle who was at my wedding to Derek Foot 1971?
