For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our web site to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was when the photographs in our archive were taken. From brief one-liners explaining a little bit more about the image depicted, to great, in-depth accounts of a childhood when things were rather different than today (and everything inbetween!). We've had many contributors recognising themselves or loved ones in our photographs.

My name is Angie, I was in Warnham Court only for a short while, but I have lasting memories - the grey and burgandy uniform, and walking down to the deer park before breakfast. I haven;t yet found anyone that remembered me. I had a photo taken of me as a Chinese boy dressed for panto. If anyone has one I would love to have it, it would be the only picture I have of me as a child. Warnahm gave me a sense of ...see more
My name is John Herron, I attended the school between 1970-1974 and still have fond memories of my days at the school. I remember the headmaster Mr King, my English teacher Mr Cooper, my geography teacher Mr Ward, Mrs Pillow, and I also remember some of the ex-pupils, Doreen Kirlew, Patrick Worrell, Hussein Ejvet and brother Izzy, Carol Wood, Gary and Stephen Bartlett, if any of you people are still ...see more
Hi Vic, thanks for your comments. Were you in Bodium the blue house? And what dormitory were you in? Were you under Miss Mcrae or Miss Geddis? Re David and Bill Dundridge, I also knew them at Wanstead House, Cliftonville maybe around 1960 before I went to Warnham Court. It would be an amazing coincidence if it is them that you know now! My memories of Warnham Court are also vague now but it is great to ...see more
Hello, my name is Christine Parsons but I was known by my maiden name of Morley when I attended Warnham, it seems like only yesterday I was there. I was sent there seemingly by the Greater London Council as both my parents were sick and at that time found it difficult to care for me, although all turned out well after I left school. What a wonderful place it was and Mr and Mrs ...see more
I was at Warnham Court and in the young framers' club, leaving the school in 1968.

OMG, I have been trying to find out what happened too, you don't know me as Pat Sykes, my maiden name was Reynolds (I used to have ginger hair), we used to be quite good friends, and visited one another in the holidays when you lived at the Highways. You used to go out with Roy Crump, I seem to remember. What are you doing in Germany? You sent me a card from there, was it nannying you were doing? Are you married ...see more
Hi, I, Joyce, was at Warnham from 1967 - 1972. My friends were Glen True, Peter Stoodly, Roy Crump, Yusuf and many more who I cannot remember. Our English teacher was Alian Cooper who also did the disco on Saturday evening after we had been to the cinema. Our other friend was 'Nelly the Pig'. Our last headmaster was Mr King. I would love to hear from anybody so please get in touch. I have lived in Germany ...see more
I went to Warnham from 1967-1970. It was the best time of my school life, it has left quite an impression on me. We had pantos, and a couple of balls, I can remember on one occasion someone had a field mouse and kept it in his dorm. We never went home in half term and we had trips to Dorking and Chanctonbury Rings near Worthing. I also got caught running in the out of bounds area which was the dogs' graves ...see more
Nice to see the old village hall again, I used to go with my mum to Mothers Club in the 1960s and lots of jumble sales, church bazaars, barn dances and even football training. At some jumble sales we used to try and climb in the toilet window to avoid paying the admission fee. It was such a shame the hall was pulled down in the 1970s. It was built by Sir Henry Harben on C. T. Lucas's land in the ...see more
