Manor Street School

The wall on the left in the photo is Manor Street School which I attended from about 1953 until 1959. I am still in touch with Rod Gray. Does anyone else remember me or Rod from that time? The Headmistress was Miss Jarvis who was always accompanied by her Dachsund dog!

This photo is way past 1950 as this place is Mansfield Road Hill leading out of Swallownest, it is after the council had re-modelled the hill making it a wider road with a tarmac footpath. On the left where the road levels out is the depot set up when the road was re-constructed.
