This photo show a small photographer's kiosk. I obtained a Frith print of this image but with a magnifier all I can see is the dot screen used to produce the print. I wonder if anybody knows who was running the photographer's kiosk in 1955?

Frith's photographer was looking west down the High Street from the Town Hall roof. In the far distance the road curves into Ock Street, which is also lined by old buildings.
Frith's photographer was looking east, past the Town Hall on the right, towards St Nicholas's Church and the abbey gateway.

This view is one of several in the Frith archive taken from the Town Hall roof. To the left is the Queen's Hotel with its central flag-poled turret.
As in so many views taken of seaside resorts, Frith's photographer pointed his camera along the sea front from the vantage point of the pier.
