As the Christmas season approaches, children make their present lists to send to Santa in hopes of receiving the toys of their dreams in the intriguing parcels piled up beneath the Christmas tree. In this feature we present a selection of nostalgic images from The Francis Frith Collection showing children from yesteryear with hoops, dolls, prams, tricycles. kites and model yachts – cherished playthings of the past.
