Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

This view is towards Milford Hill.The Co-op is next to the Cathedral Hotel, with a shooting-brake parked outside.This is the 'new' Co-op, replacing the original which burnt down in 1937.
The number of parked cars is perhaps an indication of the traffic problems to come in later years.
Today the Square has been paved over and has trees planted in it – but it's still used for parking.
Coronation Park was a gift to the town from C H Gillbard in 1937. The entrance arch, with its green gates, was demolished in the 1980s to allow access for lorries building the new leisure centre.
The schoolgirls on the left are happy to make their own amusement, while watching their parents promenading through the entrance into the extensive parks known as The Walks.
Here we are overlooking the beach, the upper part populated by marram or 'bentgrass'. As a holiday village, what we see here has to be one of the first examples of parking problems anywhere!
An Edwardian lady, parasol folded in hand, shelters in the shade of the trees at the entrance to Courtenay Park. The town's wealthier residents lived in sumptuous villas at this end of Newton Abbot.
Parking is at a premium, and it's not even market day!

Roundhay Park was purchased by the council in 1872. It comprised 775 acres, including woodlands, lakes and a manor house, part of which was turned into refreshment rooms.
In 1888 the Hoe became a park and the Armada Memorial (left) was erected to mark the tercentenary of Drake's great victory. The Naval Memorial was extended considerably after World War Two.

Taken from the Grammar School bridge, this tranquil view shows the gardens in their role as a public park, with visitors watching the swans and sitting in the sun.
Also known locally as the Armoury, this castellated building stands at the entrance to Cirencester Park and was built in 1856.
Note the early appearance of double yellow lines prohibiting car parking.
